Nisi Shawl confirmed for AAMMC 2020!

Nebula and James Tiptree Award Winning African-American science-fiction and fantasy author, editor and journalist Nisi Shawl is our honred guest at the 2020 African American Multimedia Conference! She is known as an author of science fiction and fantasy short stories who writes and teaches about how fantastic fiction might reflect real-world diversity of gender, sexual orientation, race, colonialism, physical ability, age, and other sociocultural factors. She is one of the authors of the writing textbook Writing the Other, on how to sensitively portray those of other backgrounds.
